Welcome to AZ. I am not qualified to answer, but I can tell you what I have heard, since no one else has piped up yet. I am new to hunting, so when I hear someone hunts I find out what they hunt and how they do it. I haven't gone dove hunting yet.

I have heard you need to find a water hole and be there when the sun rises. If you are at the right water hole you and a couple of other people will fill the bag limit within a couple of hours. I have also heard that this year has been feast or famine at the water holes.

I have never hunted out your direction. I can tell you that if you use USGS maps to locate the tanks, you will find that 80%-90% will be dry depending on the time of year, so it's best to plan several trips out. I never ask for specific locations of water holes, but you can always try.

Let us know how it is going for you.

When I lived in Tucson, we'd head out to the BLM desert land. Water is helpfull. The bird hunting was so good there we would typically limit before 9AM
