Exclamation New SW Ohio gun shop opening

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up on a new gun shop. It's on (5475)Liberty Fairfield Road and is called Freedom Firearms. I stopped buy today and the guy was working on it. He said they will open this Wednesday(12-2-09). The sign out front said they would beat or match anyone's prices. I'm going back on Wednesday to check them out. I will give a report on this thread when I go check it out. Pontiacdm

And there is a map included at the link below along with owners name, store address and store ph.number...

Also known around these parts as "Hamiltucky". I will try to check it out the new gun shop this weekend. It's about 6 miles from my house.....

I think the "Knob" is the reason it's called Hamiltucky..

Sounds like an interesting and maybe toxic place to have a gun shop?

Good for business but bad for the cause. lol

Ok I'm going to try not to be to harsh on this review. It was their first day open and I am going to try to be fair. My first impression on my visit was not good. I walked in and it is still under construction but looks like it will be nice when it is complete. They had maybe 100 guns and a good supply of ammo. I looked at the prices on the pistols in the display case. However 95% of the tags either had no prices or the prices were on the bottom. The few prices I could see looked average. I looked up at the rifles and seen a new stock Ruger 10/22 for $239 that I thought was a little high. They may have had some good prices on their hand guns but I couldn't see them? I looked at the ammo prices and WOW! They had Blazer Aluminum case 40 cal 50 round boxes for $23 and some change, OUCH! Not from me their not! There were 2 people behind the counter, a lady and a man. The guy was taking care of another customer and I was ok with waiting until he was done. Not sure why the lady didn't try to help me. Maybe she was just there to be with her Husband/boyfriend which I have no problems with. While I was waiting to be waited on a guy comes from the back to give the guy a message. He looks at me and then returns to the back. Ten minutes later he comes out again . me still standing there and returns to the back again? Does he work there? I don't know? However after standing there for 20 minutes with one other customer in the store, with 3 people who looked like they worked there, and not so much as a hello sir I'll be with you in a moment, I left. I didn't leave mad but disappointed. Will I give them another chance? Yes I will, like I said it was their first day open. They had a Norinco Mac90 I really wanted to inquire about, oh well. I'm not writing them off yet and don't think anyone should without checking them out for themselves. I'll go back in a couple of weeks and try again.

I have some friends down there in the Izaak Walton chapters, both Hamilton and Cincinnatti. Been there a couple of times. I never got a bad impression of the place. The Hamilton chapter does a nice job with recycling and working with kids and the shooting sports.

I was just kidding. I have lived in Fairfield for most of my life. Except for the 7 years I lived in Kentucky. Hamilton as a whole isn't bad but, it does have it's bad neighborhoods.

Stopped by the new shop today. Nice bunch working there and fairly reasonable prices if maybe a tad high. All negotiable I'm sure, although I just picked up some 9 milly ammo.
