as mentioned by PAPA G, CO2 is bad for us, thus the reason to exhale...my question is this...how are we supposed to prevent it??? do they want us to stop breathing??? the EPA is just a bunch of ridiculous morons who want to control us...

agenda

I find it strange that the EPA suddenly realizes that CO2 is bad and wants to regulate it just as climategate has global warming and cap and trade in trouble. If you can't get your adgenda through one way try another.

It is not strange it is in the end the power to regulate in this case tell people what to do. Sad how dumb people are to believe everything the nany state is telling them.

One of the things the climate-change nuts are not factoring into their CO2 equation is the fact that rain forest removal is removing millions of square feet of green leaf surface a day. That's where photosynthesis takes place. To put this into perspective, a critter the size of a human being requires about 10 square feet of green leaf surface to deal with the CO2 it exhales. The leaves convert the CO2 into carbon and oxygen, dump the oxygen into the air and process the carbon for the plants' own uses. Now, we get some of that back because when the rain forest is removed it is usually for some peasant to put in a farm; but we don't get back all of that square footage of leaf by any means.

What this means is that as our human and food animal population expands, the photosynthetic square footage available to us is shrinking. Keep this up long enough, and sooner or later you are going to have too little green leaf area to generate oxygen for the number of creatures breathing the air.

Oh, I admit that the phytoplankton do a great deal of photosynthesis too, even more than the land does; but with the pollution in the oceans they are at risk as well. Ecology is a real balancing act, and right now humans are doing their best to tip the balance the wrong way. Instead of worrying about global heating and industrial CO2 emissions, the powers that be should be worrying a lot more about the deforestation that is going on. If the process is not arrested and more green leaf surface is not planted, and I mean very soon, we might run out of oxygen to breathe.

Why am I not surprised. Another abc agency with no constitutional authority, working for the U.N.
If The O signs in on the climate fraud bill, it will do away with our constitution, as replace it with U.N. laws. If trees don't have CO2, they can't make OXYGEN for us. They would cut off the oxygen fans to make themselves billionaires overnight to finance the rest of this global nightmare. Global fraud!

I'm not concerned with global warming, what concerns me is in the early 1300's, the earth went in to a major cold cycle. Possibly even a mini ice age. Famine was rampant in the world, not just Europe. Many people were impoverished due to poor agricultural production. Many people died of starvation and were chronically hungry due to low production and crop failures.

As a result, people had reduced immunity to disease and illness. The Bubonic/Pneumonic plague spread from the far east very rapidly in the mid 1300s' due to the poor condition of the general populace and poor sanitary conditions. In a space of about eight years, 50% of the worlds population had died off. Global warming?? Far less destructive than cooling IMHO.

I'll take warming any day.

Bravo

to the poster who mentioned the massive removal of trees.

Our world could use two billion less people and two billion more trees immediately.
