I recently acquired a standard USP in 9mm. It was purchased used, from a friend, and it had been produced before the advent of the new lock-out mechanisms.
I'm interested in replacing the lanyard piece (part #46, I believe) with a lock-out mechanism, but I've only managed to find one location that sells replacements. On that particular site they only offer the version for the .45 and the compact versions, but they don't offer a specific one for the full size USP 9/40.
Two questions:
1. Are the compact and full-size USP's similar enough in the grip that the lanyard part should be interchangeable?
2. Does anyone know of any websites that happen to offer this part?
(yes I have looked, I'm not asking people to look for me, just curious if anyone has had better luck with it than I have).
