this sounds weird but...

my friends grandfather let us take a few of his weapons to go target shoot and what not....we took a mossberg 500,.357 mag, mini 14, and this old rifle that was a single shot .38 special yeah ive never heard of one of these before either. anyway we were shooting away and i decided to test fire this .38 i loaded it, went to shoot it and when i pulled the trigger it sounded much like the hiss of a cat. my first thought was that the round i loaded was a dud. i open the breech and suprisingly the round fired. i loaded another and fired once more....same thing. can anyone explain this? by the way i fired about 10 or so rounds with this rifle all with the same result.

Bad ammo, destroy it. Sooner or later a bullet will lodge in barrel.

Integral sound suppressor?

Did you hit what you aimed at?

Not sure on the banning.. Chances are the posts that got him banned have been deleted..

Not sure if the banning is permaban, or just temporary.. Either way, he got under someone's skin and did enough damage to get a banning in just 9 posts..

His problem with the ammo sounded like powder that one time had gotten wet.

Hmm, I wonder I grandpa might have had black powder .38 rounds (Assuming he wasn't really just lying in the first place) Might have a thud instead of a crack when you fire one.

Warned twice in another forum that I know of. He wouldn't stop his foolishness, and when he got slapped down went after the Mod.

It might be a record as long as you don't count spammers, scammers, and Antis who come to troll..

So, if you're only counting idiots, it might be??

I'm a moderator on a dual sport motorcycle website and I'm typically banning 2-3 people a day, but almost always it's a spam/scam issue. We now don't allow new users to post links until they get 15 posts, so instead of coming on and posting porn or whatever in every forum, they toss it in their signature...

Now, the forum I'm a moderator on probably gets well less than 1/10 the traffic that Gun and Game does, so that gives you an idea of what the Moderators and Chris are up against on a daily basis.. And the spammers/scammers NEVER give up!!
