Installing Trijicon sights

How would one go about installing Trijicon sights.

I read on the Ruger site that you should a gun smith or whatever put them on. Is this true?

Definitely unless you have the right equipment. (something to push them on, as opposed to brass hammer and drift). The trijicon night sights have a glass bead inside filled with tritium gas and if yu fracture a bead you lose your gas. Then your "night sights' become "sights".
