Okay, I picked up my new Ruger Charger today. Only thing is, I need a scope for it. Any suggestions? Price matters as I'd like a good accurate scope but have to watch my funds.

This is the gun, but without the scope.

I would say since it is a short range gun that a low variable scope would serve you well. I would put a 1.5 by 4 bushnell trophy on it. I have had excellent success with one on my Ruger Super Blackhawk(44 mag.). It has held up well through thru thousands of rounds.

I agree with Shawn...although I would even add a little more power just for S&Gs. Also, I would look at the Leupold, Simmons AETEC, Nikon and Burris lines as well. Bushnell makes a good scope for a 22. I have also heard Billy and Moose say good things about Meuller scopes as well. Congrats on the new firearm!!!

Is there much difference between a 2-7x32 and a 2-8x28 scope? (I mean the 28 - 32 difference.)
