Any one Wolf hunt in Ak?

Me and a friend of mine are thinking about doing some predator hunting up here in Ak, and I was just wondering if any one has hunted Wolf up here and any advise. We planned on useing a rabbit urine based smell attractent (home made and stinky as hell) and a squealing rabbit vocal call and possibly a rabbit decoy. This is what we are planning on using. its going to be a few weeks before we go so this isnt something happening like tomarrow or any thing.

Are wolves open all year up there, or are they seasonal like most everything else?

Wolf hunt

While the season is liberal there is a season. Wolves can be located by howling ,if done right they will answer, almost like they have to. They will often come to just the howl to see who is on their ground. But most wolves stay well away from the roads most of the time, and using a wheeler or snow machine they can hear you for miles.

The most effective Wolf Hunters use Piper Cubs or Super Cubs on skis and catch the wolves out on frozen lakes...Land and shoot.

Might want to read the regs., before you plan a trip.

Also trapping season is in full swing.
