New Ithaca 37's?

Anyone out there own one of the new production Ithaca 37 defense shotguns? I cam across them today. I like the 20" version of it. The only gripe I read about them is they require removal of the stock to break down for cleaning.

Glad to see Ithica opened it's doors a couple of years or so ago.

I'm not sure about the recommendation to dissassemble the stock for cleaning, but I'm not posting to dispute.

That said, a pump can be easily cleaned partialy due to the fact that they don't get extremely fowled in the action. Sure, if you drop it in the mud, it might need a good detail cleaning.

On the 37, open the aqction and stick a tooth brush up it's action, follow by a wipe of the rag or even a little compressed air if available. Clena the barrel as normal. Shouldn't be a big deal.

That's what I was thinking to myself when I was reading the complains. It just didn't make sense to remove the whole stock for a normal cleaning.

thanks

Taking the stock off is actually part of a major cleaning. Unless you are doing some really high volume shooting it is not really necessary. The internals do not get that dirty.
