Issues with Gifts

Greetings all, my first post.
Obviously, Christmas has come today, and I had the nice surprise of getting an NEF Pardner 20 under the tree this year! Great gun, very solid.
Only one issue! I tested a spent 20 shell in it to see if it'd eject ok, and it did, kinda.
the shell came out about halfway and stopped. Normally the Pardner single shot ejects the shell about 6 feet. I have the hold the gun with the breach facing the ground for it to fully eject. any ideas how I might fix this? It's only a slight inconvenience, but I'd like my new shotgun to be performing at the top of it's.. Er.. Game. Much appreciated!

You cant expect a spent shell from another gun to eject properly if that shell was fired in a slightly larger chamber...wait until you shoot the gun and see how that spent shell ejects...
Welcome to G&G !

Oh, good point! Shot the shell out of an 870, so yeah.
Thanks for the tip, Merry Christmas!

you might want to oil the extractor slightly & work it in too.

this is just me talking but also bear in mind that the whole n.e.f. ejector is based on the shell being fired recently so more back pressure is built up to kick the shell out. you wont get that from an allready spent shell. my brothers each have one in the 12 ans 20 g respectively. my eyes arent as good as theirs so I needed one with multiple shots. but those are nice shottys. congrats and merry christmas.

Make sure the gun is really clean also. If you put the shell in right from the box, it might have some grease or oil in the chamber. Clean good first, then try it.

Sure enough, took it to the range today with some federal Game Load... Works like a charm, kicks like a mule!
