So, I'm at Academy Sporting Goods the other day and I notice that they just dropped the price on the Savage Model 11 & 111 FCNS rifles from $470 to a clearance price of $385. I've already got a Model 11 FCNS in .308 and I love it, so I started kicking around the idea of getting a long action version.
Problem is, I've sorta maxed out on gun purchases recently ($$$). I currently have a Model 10 Precision Carbine in .223 on order (I can't wait to get it!) and I'm seriously considering ordering one of the new Model 10 Predator Hunter Max 1 rifles in .243.
And, to make the decision tougher, I couldn't decide between the 30-06, the .270, and the 25-06. Decisions, decisions, decisions...
I stewed over the idea for a while (about five minutes) and I ultimately made a command decision. I just couldn't pass up such a great price, so I went ahead and bought one of each caliber. I like Nikon scopes, so when I found some really sweet Nikon Monarch Team Primos 3-9x40 scopes brand new on Ebay for $209/each with free shipping and no tax...well, I just couldn't resist, so I bought one for each rifle.
I hate when tough decisions like these have to made! Haha
