I have a couple of the PA-63's they shoot great , mine like Barnaul 94 gr. hollow points no problems feeding very accurate , I did buy some 105 gr. silverbear , it would hangup in the mag and not feed after the first roud was stripped off the top of the mag , I have between 6 and 7 thousand through each of them and can't tell any differance than when I got them , only thing is after about 1,000 rds. I replace recoil spring just for reliability , oh by the way they were also made in 380. good luck and enjoy jrh55

Soon after I got my PA-63 some time last year, I had to let the blister heal on my hand where the recoil bit into the bone area of my thumb before I could shoot it for a week or so. I decided to correct that problem and did so with some sand paper and a file. I rounded the points of the rear grip housing where the "bite" occurs. I tried a couple of variations until it felt comfortable. Now it shoot well, still recoils sharply due to it's design, but no more discomfort and blistering. Enjoy your pistol!

2) The issue with hollowpoints is that the PA63 was designed for FMJ. Some 9x18 hollow points have habit of jamming in a PA63.
I just got mine at a show for 2 bills with leather holster and spare clip. Seems like the perfect size and weight; I can't wait to go to the range tomorrow.
Thanks for saving me a potential problem--I had bought some 105 hollowpoints instead of 95 FMJ, so I'll change before firing.

Me too!

Bought mine a couple of days ago from a friend who had come across a couple of good buys. He had already swapped out the springs. Took it to the range the next day. Put a box through it and enjoyed it. My hand did not seem the worse for wear.

Out of four Academy stores I found three boxes of Monarch 94gr fmj for $8.50/ea. Waiting for them to get more in stock.

Definitely need to knock down the sharp edges.

Cool

I like the rosewood grips. Where did you get them?

I've been looking at getting either a PA-63 or CZ-82. I like Czech guns (I already own a CZ-52 pistol and a VZ-58 rifle) but I like the look of the PA-63. Especially with those rosewood grips.

edit: add the Polish P-64 to the list. They're all 9x18, maybe I'll just get one of each. :-p

i cannot say anything bad about these pistols, your only other options in this compact group would be, the bersa thunder .380 whose name gives high hopes but a big let down when fired (underpowered and overpriced)
ya they are a fair quality but not great. some people make them out to be kimbers or springfields quality but not true at all, they are mass produced and hastily fitted together with 1 -100 going back for major repairs.
theres the sccy industries 9mm but they are cheap polymer and have a funky hole in the back inviting dirt and junk to fall inside, several people have found that they can self destruct while shooting, and at 280-320 it is very overpriced. and then there was kel-tec.... a good company good cust. service but again mass produced polymer, i cant remember the odds but one in so many will be a lemon. the feg-pa-63 is built well aluminum/titanium alloy frame means light weight, good internals made from good meterials, fit and function 9-10 and more power than the 380, this little pistol has made its way into my pants (concealed carry) and stayed there.

I seem to keep coming back to the PA-63 as my "grab and go gun"
due to it's ease of carry. I use a Bianchi Model 100 Size 9 IWB in the summer and a Bianchi Model 59 paddle OWB for winter time or under a cover garment.
