Scoped

Thanks for all the tips when I asked earlier about mounting the scope. I mounted it on Sniperkid's Mosin. He was a little scared to let me start drilling into the side of the barrel, but he couldn't wait an let me (I used a mill and it came out really good). Been reading up and I think with some help from a co-worker I can do the bolt mod using a 5/16 rod. Will post pics later

A 5/16 rod will work but a 6 inch long grade8 bolt, bent and cut to the desired length will be better and less likely to bend if you get a stuck cartridge. I've made 3 of them and they work great. Good luck with the project and post some pic's when your done.

Gandog, that BigFifty might just make nearly as much a "BANG!" as the Mosin!

You haven't seen the big flash traveling backward out of that big azz wedge of a muzzle brake on the 50.

Belongs to my gunsmith, but he let me fire three rounds out of her. All in the black at 100 yards.

Mm... I was thinking of starting a similar project myself... I like what you've done to it.

Was a bolt action. Kind of a different feel pulling the bolt back......and back....and back, to feed that banana size round in.
