from what i've tested i would have to say brown bear, but there is still alot i have not shot....well enough of me what do you guys think......
if there is even anyone on this forum
I think that Fiochi is not bad, but I rarely see it anymore. I also like remington, but this is not common enough and costs a bunch. As for the cheaper ammo, I am happy with Wolf military, which seems to be the cheapest, but think the most accurate is wolf 154 grain softpoints. I am not sure why this heavier bullet (around 20% heavier than the norm) is more accurate, but this goes with my RPK, milled and stamped AK47s, and chinese, Russian, and Yugo SKS'. I have not shot brown bear in this caliber, but think the brown bear is the best regarding 9x18 Makarov ammo.

Was there a question here?
What am I missing.

7.62x39 accuracy is dependent on your gun.
Look at an AK shot with high speed photography, the amount of flex in the gun is pretty incredible. A testament to the flex that steel can withstand. check it out on youtube.
A SKS would be better I would think. Perhaps a hunting rifle in 7.62x39 would beat it.
I have heard a rumor from some circles of a woman VC who took a lot of GI's with an SKS.
The round is not thought to be an "accurate" round probably because or it's biggest consumer, the AK.
I would be very cautious about shooting US commercial ammo from an SK.... They have a tendency for developing a bad habit of slam fires. Commie ammo has stiffer primers.

Lapua makes the best, most accurate ammo for the AK. Consider it "match grade." ( expensive but reloadable) Next to that is the Yugo surplus M67 that is out there now. Both are far more accurate than the GT, BB, SB, wolf etc.

ive heard a few people say lapua on other forms, but yeah it is kinda expensive, iam going to give it a shot, well atleast 30 shots
where could i buy some? i see that midway sells it but there out
Veprs are very accurate. Alot can be said for the Saiga's as well. Some of the most accurate AK's I've seen, used & just been around are the milled Bulgarian rifles from Arsenal. Both of mine will hold a 2"-3" group at 100yds with run of the mill AK ammo. With lapua or my reloads, it'll keep them 1"1/2-2" all day. (off of the bench)
I've also seen some Chinese & Yugo's that will hold there own with quality ammo.

I agree, the Yugo Komada M67 is designed for accuracy, although it is corrosive, I shoot it exclusively with great results.
