Thinking of buy xd sub compact .40

I'm debating on buying an xd sub compact .40 s&w or a snub Taurus .357. My main purpose for either one is concealed cary. Or should I stick with hi point c9, that I cary with Win xpd elite +p. Any thoughts would be help full.

My main carry gun is a Subcompact .40 XD and I love it. I rented the Glock, M&P and XD when I was in the market. Took 5 minutes to decide the Glock wasn't for me. Very poor gun in my opinion. I was very close between the M&P and XD. I chose the XD because it is a little smaller, offers the extended magazine allowing me to carry 12+1, it had the backstrap safety and just felt better in my hand. I also own a snubby .357 Taurus hammerless that I really like a lot but if I were forced to choose between the two I'd take the XD. Keep the High Point for plinking cans in the woods or a tackle box gun but don't trust your life on it.

I don't own the XD .40 subcompact, but I do own an SA handgun. I must say it is a fine firearm and worth the money they cost.

Wow, $388? You stole that. Great buy. I love my .40 Subcompact. I like it so much I bought a 9mm Subcompact to go with it. Congrats on a great gun. You'll love it.

I can't blame you. At $388 I'd buy another just because and I already have 2.

The XD Compact is a slick gun. I bought one a couple years ago (in 40 S&W) for my wife and have shot it some (when she lets me).
Right now I have a SA 1911A1 (5" barrel) in 45 acp, and previously owned a Browning HiPower (9mm) and S&W 5906 (9mm).
If I was buying another semi auto for myself now, it would be an XD (probably in 45 acp).
