Shot my first 995 today

Got the 995 in today that I bought from the Trading Post section. It is the one that TravisG was selling.
All I can say is these things are SWEEEEEET!
Wow. Awsome 25yd accuracy, considering A) I was freezing my tail off & It was snowing like crazy, B) I had never shot this rifle before, or a carbine of any kind before and C) It was shot off handed.
Had to make two sight adjustments. (Guessing guns will shoot to different points of aim with different people.)
All 3 3shot groups were well under 3". Mind you this is off handed and i was shivering from the cold!

I am quite pleased with that!

BTW: I was using WWB 115gr FMJ ammo. The Wal-Mart cheap stuff.

Mine never fails to bring the "grin".
Good luck with your new carbine!

Thumbs up

Good guns! Once you can get serious, and use a bench, a rest and be comfortable, you'll be shooting better than that at 50 yards!

First post!

I'm absolutely in love with my 995ts. I picked it up for a song a few weeks ago and just got around to shooting it. 100 rounds of Federal FMJ from Wal-Mart and 100 rounds of Silver Bear FMJ that came with it later, only one failure to feed (case was visibly malformed. Federal, go figure). I was able to consistently get 2" groups at 40 feet using the open sights without focusing on my breathing, trigger control, stance AND with fogged up glasses (range was like a sauna today). To test whether or not I somehow developed ninja-like accuracy overnight, I shot a magazine from my CZ-82 at 20 feet. And I did even worse than usual.

Anyhow, I'm in love. Now that I'm keeping it it's getting a nice padded case as a reward. Everyone should have one of these.

Hard to believe you can get these for $200+! They are so much fun to shoot.

Mine never fails to put a smile on my face when I shoot it.
Not really good for anything other than punching paper but really fun to shoot I think.
Seems like on here people either love em or hate em.
