With the shuttle tragady...this seems overlooked by the big media.....this report will most likely piss you off..........time to shut down the boarders... Illegal alien threatened water supply? Trooper shot during arrest of Mexican after informant's tip -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Posted: February 6, 2003 1:00 a.m. Eastern © 2003 WorldNetDaily.com A Virgina state trooper was shot and an unidentified gunman killed when officers attempted to arrest an illegal alien from Mexico after receiving a tip that the alien had a plan to poison the state's water supplies, reports the Virginian-Pilot. An informant had told authorities that Ipolito "Polo" Campos, who is now in custody, had said he was from an "Arabian" country and "if he did not poison the water someone would kill him," court records state. The FBI began investigating Campos after receiving the information on Jan. 18. When state troopers arrived at Campos' mobile home on Virginia's Eastern Shore to arrest him Tuesday, a gunfight ensued. The trooper, H.A. Chambers, was shot in the arm, reports the Virginian-Pilot, and is in good condition. According to Phil Mann of the Norfolk, Va., FBI office, a second person at Campos' home was shot and killed in the gunfight with the troopers. Federal prosecutors say Campos had previously been kicked out of the U.S. and was facing charges of using phony immigration documents and a false Social Security number. Although the threat against the water supplies was not mentioned in a court session yesterday, the issue was referred to the region's Joint Terrorism Task Force, the paper's report indicated. Campos also faces possible charges of attempted murder and assault of a state trooper and possession of a sawed-off shotgun. "At this time, the investigation is still continuing into the shooting incident,'' state police spokesman Larry Hill told the Virginian-Pilot. "We've still got a lot of facts to gather.'" The paper reports Campos as saying he is unemployed and penniless, is married with six children and that his wife does not have a job. A preliminary hearing for Campos is scheduled for tomorrow. |

Time to lock em down boys!! We should be mobilizing the national guard and have armed patrols of our borders and armed support at all crossings. No one gets in unless they are an American citizen. And as they (non US nationals) leave it should be, "Y'all DONT come back now, ya hear?"

As attractive as that idea sounds its not really a possibility. When you consider the incredible amount of area that our borders cover and some of the Wilderness that includes its not a practical idea to have the borders completely manned. No the aggressiveness of the border patrol is another matter they are to passive because everyone is affraid of being accused of racial profiling. That needs to change at the same time you need to be respectful to our neighbors to the north. The Canadian American Trading relationship is the largest in the world. The economy really needs that to stay intact. Basically some common sense is needed. Achmad and Muhammed are gonna have to be questioned everytime while we allow Tommy and John to pass with relative ease. It just afact that Arabs perform 95 percent of all global terroism.
