How many of you love Coues Deer Hunting?

Well, you can tell by my name I am into Coues deer hunting. It's my favorite species to hunt. How about you guys?

first off Welcome to the site amanda!!!!

secondly whats the difference between a regular white tail and a "Coues" white tail deer? lol! ive been hunting before and thats the first time i have heard that term, of course i live down south in AZ and down here a deers a deer, rather its a mule deer or a white tail! lol!

I hunted them a bit when I lived in Tucson. Got one with my truck at Patagonia once

The Coues is just the name for the subspecies of whitetail we have in Arizona. They are much smaller (and I think much prettier) than other whitetail subspecies. I love the terrain they live in. Love glassing them up. Fun stuff!!

Very nice Amanda thats one to brag on.Here is my last 2 bucks from my Nebraska trips.Never had a chance to chase them southern Az deer. Pat

Just for the purpose of getting more people to hunt this fantastic arizona deer - them "southern arizona "deer are all around flagstaff -williams etc. they are moving into a lot of different areas of the state ,they are not limited to the southern part of the state - though that is where you will find the most populations !
