I have some questions regarding a Model 720 44 spl. I found.
1.) Can anyone tell me the date or time period when this particular weapon was manufactured?
2.) It's a 5 shot cylinder, do they make a 6 shot cylinder for this weapon and can it be changed over or will the frame not support such a transition?
3.) My friend got the weapon and 200 rds. of ammo (hollow point) for $400.00, did he get a deal, break even, or did he get beat?

I am fairly certian that if it is a 5 shot, then converting to a six shot is not feasibly possible. the throw of the arm that turns the cylinder would be wrong for a 5-6 conversion. I have not seen one of these pistols, but would also say that the replacement of cylinders would not be feasible also because of the amount of meat (extra metal around bullet that controls pressure) would be decreased to a dangerous level. Five shots is not much different than six to me. These are just my opinions and if you decide to further look into this, just keep in mind about the rotating arm mecanism. Also the frame might not be big enough for the use of a 6 shot cylinder. have a good one.
