A man Fausto Cardenas from Houston, fired several shots on the south steps of the Texas capitol from a small Glock type handgun and was arrested. Motive unknown. They just shut down our local gun show. They normally fill the perp full of bullets here when they present a weapon. This is either a lunatic or a staged event, did he get the gun at a gun show? I hope I'm wrong. You will have body scanners there in the future and I bet they were ordered a long time ago. Smells!

You noticed that too, huh? I've been following the story on Chron.Com since earlier today, and it seems everyone else has been thinking along those same lines.

I find it somewhat ironic that multiple shots are fired on the steps of our state capitol building, and the most recommended comment on the story is about Governor Guardasil's hair being bulletproof...

Governor Guardasil's, good one. I can hear a ka- ching in his bucket every time you drive a toll road.
Wonder if there is any gun legislation pending? Austinites are very pissed about the gun show, been here for 20+ years. Close the borders!

Too bad the idiot didn't realize that politicians are INSIDE the capitol, not outside on the steps...
