If you go to a Famous Salon in a major city like LA or NYC or DC with hair stylists that have a reputation like the ones who work on celebrities, wun, it's quite possible to have a salon visit go into four figures. Wash, cut, style, color, highlights, massages, manicures, pedicures... it's really easy to drop more money than you'd spend on a mid to high range production gun in a couple of hours at the salon.

As far as the makeup goes, if you have a woman who insists on buying specific, high end products you can pass $300 at the makeup counter without blinking. Consider that it's foundation, powders, lip gloss, eyeliner, eyeshadow, mascara, lip-liner, moisturizers, makeup remover, etc. Some of the high end organic makeups and natural powders go into three figures each. Granted, they'll last for months, but it will still add up fast.

A woman going to a high end salon for her hairstyling is not the same as going to a franchise hair-cutting parlor. What you are looking at, in essence, is the difference between eating at a five star restaurant and going to the drive-thru at McDonalds. Her Imperial Majesty is an executive in NYC. She has an image to uphold.

Can i still join?
1. Can you disassemble and reassemble the MN bolt in under 1 minute?

2. Have you urinated down the breech after firing corrosive ammo?

3. Have you pursued (and dispached) zombies?

4. Have you fluffed a bear?

Actually only the first is a requirement... the rest are just (ab) normal Moisin Men activities...

What can I say, if my wife spent that sort of money on Haircuts & make up, I sure as hell wouldn't sneak a Mosin into the house, I wouldn't even have to sneak an M14 into the house! I'm very lucky in that I live in a fishing village and don't have to impress anyone. Everyone knows that I'm a mean, tight, S-O-B that frankly just doesn't give a ****. (Unless they mess with me!) The girl round the corner comes to our house and gives us both a haircut for less than $25. I'm maybe a Scottish equivalent of a Redneck!

Amen to that one tex.

Like they said in Full Metal Jacket;
"I'll sell you an ARVN rifle, never fired and only dropped once."

And to whoever applied to the Mosin Men, I have approved all of your requests, maybe now we'll get some new posts in there.....*wink-wink nudge-nudge*.....soon

Heck, when I was a kid, I would go to the technical college and get haircuts from aspiring barbers for free. The instructor wouldn't let them mess you up too bad.

I was an Army Brat (hence I joined the Navy) so I'd take my quarter to the base "barbershop". One (crew) cut fits all... quick too.

Now it's a bit more than that (reads alot more). But I look great... for a grumpy old fart.

How did we get on this subject? Oh yeah, cosmetics cost more than a MN.

The one minute bolt tear-down/assemble should be a must. If you have several MN's this should be a given.

What makes you want to be a Mosin Man?

Have you watched Enemy At The Gates more than once? (I lowered the requirement).

Rachels heine may be substituted in this case.

I've watched it twice in one day... probably a half dozen times total... can't find my copy though...

Not that it really matters, but you have my vote. Welcome to the new and improved, fully liberated, Mosin Men.

We won't ask you to battlefield clean your MN's... unless you want to.

Gratuitous... i.e. definition: Didn't need to be in the script, but we all appreciated it anyway.
