A Few Snow Flurries......

The weather folks are always wrong here.
What was 6-8 ended up to be 26" every place i measured. I also measured the deck but that snow blew off the roof before piling up and its a little more there. I spent all day Saturday shoveling the deck and the driveway out just to get the plow out. Sunday i spent all day digging the farmers out. This morning i spent some time on the roofs around here and cleared those all off....... I Remember a post i answered a few weeks back and said the farmer almanac was predicting 3' for February and they are pretty close. Tuesday we are supposed to get some more and all i have to say about that is "Bring It On"...Keeps me in shape..LOL...
I just put a brand new mail box in at the end of the driveway after some azz
hit it with a metal pipe at Halloween. Well i stalled the quad in the middle of the road and just then a truck was coming up around the bend so i got it started and backed off at hi speed and whacked it real good off the post. So there is something else i have to fix..ROTFL...The pictures my wife took, they are a little dark but this will give you an idea of the snow flurries we had...LOL.
Please add to this post with your stories and some pictures i need to rest fer spell and like looking at someone else's picture as well.

I don't think I have ever seen more than 12 inches of snowfall at one time in my life. I can only remember it snowing 12 inches twice. If we get 6 or 8 inches around here, people freak out and buy up all of the bread and milk in all of the stores. LOL.

Nice pics Earl. According to our weatherman out here the storm that is headed your way Tuesday might be a little more than you think. If the one that came through here and one south of us combines. That storm out east came at a bad time. Nephew in Jersey is getting married. We have family driving up from FL and also from out here. I-80 should be clear for the ones leaving here tomorrow.

"I am out of control and the only way to stop that is FLOOR IT" Is it really that hard to figure out what your NOT supposed to do .

On a funny note I normally shovel our driveway but with all this snow we got in 'Sota the piles on the corners are too tall so I pulled out the blower. I never used it before but I did help build the Frankinblower out of a 1967 Simplicity 7 hp and a new 10 hp motor. What I didn't know is the drive belt pulleys are not on straight and of course the belt hops off at the bottom of the hill so I have to push the 10 ton blower up the hill hehe.

Thanks all that posted some stories and especially cremley's posted video of the
black ice.

It was funny but it sure would not be if i was in that stuff. I counted i think 7 cars that poor fella whacked...LOL..Collecting information on every ones insurance data that the fella cranked would take all day and the report would have been a real nightmare
who ever had to write that one up...

Tom, i still feel bad i did not send you a smoked pheasant or even offered but your welcome for the snow diversion over this way, we enjoy that sort of thing ya know so send some more when you have time...LOL..

Mrs.Scotty
I have heard that you are heading out to California in a short spell so enjoy the weather,
you deserve the trip and enjoy yourself...Don't worry about Robert, we will just have to
keep a eye on him and keep him busy whilst your gone..ROTFL....LOL......

I also wanted to mention that my service in snow removal to the farmers was payed off with around 15 pounds of fresh breakfast sausage last night..LOL...ROTFL...Thats what we country folk do around here..What a great life,....
who needs money!

I brought my shovel with me today so I can dig my driveway out again when I get home. My road is such that you only go about 10-15 mph on it anyways, so I'll pull off into the turn around spot, shovel, get in the driveway, shovel the path to the house, and shovel the proch before I even get in. Of course I'll have to do it again tomorrow, but it will be less work then. I'm tired of winter already.

Was that a Lab in the snow? Mine just thinks snow is powdered water and he doesn't care how cold it is. He goes out and lays in it.

You would be welcome as anyone. I will be starting a new bedroom downstairs that will be a biggin, but in the mean time there are lots of beds and only three of us...LOL..
Thanks for the house compliment it means a lot to me...

Bunny Its a lab and Mastiff breed...Mastador?.....only thing is he has nowhere to pee....LOL...ROTFL..He picks the walls of snow in places and the other thing...well i haven't found any of that fer a spell...He must have a hiding place somewhere. He usually heads for the woods for the #2 thing and we have never picked up in the yard for about two years he just don't do it there, I see some tracks from here heading towards the woods so i'll leave it at that...LOL...less work for me...

Hey Craig,
She was out that day for 7 hours with her cousin and when she got in she had some thawing out ta do...Cheeks all red, hands cold. They both helped me for a whole 45 minutes and got bored of shoveling they said...You believe that?......
They quickly left me as usual and built a 15' tunnel and was hiding under the piled up snow from me as i called them a few times there was no answer.. They just laughed
at me when i finally found them....Dang youngins have no respect...ROTFL....

Nice pic CGO! I made it my wallpaper on my computer. That way when we have the party next month I'll have a little bit of knowledge to where I'm going!
