as far as i'm concerned, they shoul be forced to invest that herre in the u.s.
i mean it's our tax money they're probably gonna use to do this.
i also know that all the big 3 have plants dowm there, but if they required a bailout they should be forced to put their american plants first

One possible positive could be less illegal immigration into this country from Mexico. If they can earn a decent wage there, they might feel less compelled to seek employment here? At least this is what I'd like to think, but I'm probably just fooling myself.
Define "minicar." Are we talking about those Laz-E-Boys on wheels like the so-called "Smart Car," the ones that have less horsepower than a Harley Electra-Glide and sit so low to the road they ought to be required by law to fly those pennants that come standard on Mattel Big Wheels so automobiles can see them?

Lol who would buy a little POS car anyhow. I never understood why they called it a smart car. Seems like only an idiot would want to drive a soda can. Maybe its a smart car because with any luck anyone that drives one will be killed in an accident and it will make the general population smarter as a whole?
Also the smart car is very inefficent, if you look at fuel consumption in a ratio with work done. Its simple physics.

That's why I drive an F-150. It's not the biggest thing on the road, but it's one of the bigger ones.
I saw an F-150 and Honda Accord one day go nearly head-on at a good clip. I'm not positive, but I believe the Honda driver was killed. The F-150 and the driver drove home. Seeing something like that will ensure I never buy a itty bitty car.

The galling thing is the fools driving those wee skates claiming the bigger trucks, SUVs and vans are UNSAFE because the wee car gets the short end of the stick in a collision! Seems a backwards way of thinking.
Heck, just cover the danged things with Silly Putty rubber and let them bounce off the bigger vehicle!
UPDATE 2-Mexico to build Fiat 500 to boost Chrysler | Reuters
Fiat was given control of Chrysler by the Obama administration last June as part of a restructuring of the U.S. automaker in a government bankruptcy.
Under Marchionne, Chrysler is planning to more than double sales, roll out a dozen new models built on Fiat platforms and repay debt to U.S. taxpayers over the next five years.
The investment by Chrysler will be mostly financed through a loan from Mexican development banks, Fiat Chief Executive Sergio Marchionne told reporters in Mexico City.

Funny how they will cost less to produce in Mexico but the company will still spiral down...I wonder why?? Where's their profits going? I KNOW!! The stinkin CEOs stealing from their own companies and running them into the ground!!
