TAX refund gun

I want to buy a handgun, preferably a Pistol with my tax refund. Any ideas??and have ruled out Hi Point on the low end and don't think I can afford a Springfield.

I would like a smaller frame .45ACP auto.

Check out the M&P line... Interchangeable palm swells allow for a more "tailored" feel for different people. I've got a .40 M&P and absolutely love it!

Either way, I think that is a perfect use for your refund!

M&P is a great gun but same price if not more than the XD. If you can afford a XD there is no better gun for the dollar. If you can't afford one go Taurus. You will be very happy.

My wife LOVES her Glock Model 36. It is single stack, holds 6+1, easy to control, and easy to conceal.

OK guys, lot's of good ideas to work with. I have a big slab sided M&P .45 already. I do know where there is a Rock Island, it is fugly but functional. So I am now looking for a Taurus or a Glo(B)ck. I can find 40's and 9's out the wazzoo but .45's seem scarce around here. And I am not really crazy aout DAO auto pistols.

OK it's a done deal. Just bought a pre owned like new Taurus PT845. I guess everybody should own at least one in their lifetime. I like the 12+1 loads plus ambidextrous everything on it. Came with the originalbox, 2 mags and all the accessories and owners manual. It is a handfull but I have oversized mitts anyway.
I did look at the Rock Island and it would probably work but it would need some bigger custom grips.

Is it too late to turn back? Why buy a Glock when for the same money you can buy a good gun like a Sig, XD or M&P? I did own one Glock and that was one more than I wish I had owned. Save a ton of money buying a Bersa, EAA, Taurus or kel Tec . They are much cheaper and better guns. If you want a POS don't spend the money for a Glock. Just buy a High Point and use the saved money to buy ammo.

Taurus is a great gun in the $350 range. I have 4 Taurus's and am very happy with them all. What model did you get?

Amazing gun for the price. Just got mine a few weeks ago. Only put 150 rounds through it so far but shot flawlessly. Very easy on the hand and accurate as can be. This just might become my carry gun if it continues to shoot as well as it did the first trip out.
