Most of us who post on the forum who served did so in the 50's through the late 90's. I just want to say for the service person who serves today. I do support you in heart and on bended knee. I had it fairly cushy for the 17 years I was in the Nav. but let me just say that there is no way in hell or Gods green earth that I could muster the strength and dedication that you people exhibit on a daily basis to get the job done.
I am not even going to try and compete with any experience that you had. I did sweat. Some how to me,what you do seems more like what the greatest generation did in WW II. I am in no way taking away
any honor that Korean or Nam vets do deserve. I am proud to walk by their side even today as I see them at the VA clinic or in the hospitals across the country.
But some how it is in my soul to extend my hand to my
brothers and sisters who serve the Flag today. I love you with a brotherly love and wish to respect you with the deepest I can muster. You deserve much more.
