SoonerShooter, I am old enough to be your grandfather...

I fully concur with you regarding the over use of profanity in public, which I frequently take people to task...

Abbreviations, are better left to the theater of the mind....

Blue you're getting pretty old then!

I didn't want to make a big deal of this because I understand that the majority of the guys here are the type that either use to talk like I did or still continue to talk that way and it's just too hard to govern for the moderators. I understand that! We keep saying this is a public forum but any grade school kid would view those three letters the same way I do. I bet if abbreviations were used in confrontational remarks it wouldn't be viewed the same. An example might be if someone was in an argument with me and called me a sorry C Sucker Should I just assume he probably just meant a crab sucker and not be offended? Would that be called Hiding under the guys of abbreviations?

What is considered trolling?

Could someone clarify trolling? I joined a similar board, and any time i disagree with someone there, I get put on time out for trolling, it seems to be a board for yes men. Will there be a warning, or just suspension of posting privileges? I want to be able to discuss topics of interest, not just agree with what someone else says, or have them agree with me just because thats all that is allowed.

In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room or blog, with the primary intent of provoking other users into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion. Posting nonsense or Incorrect Information to mislead also falls into this category...

Oh my. That just described me in the chat room when I try to get PFC David in trouble!

Does it include making fun of left-handed people?

Note... if you have less than 100 posts , you just get banned without warning, If you are a senior member with hundreds of posts , then we more than likely will warn you or give you a few days of suspension to cool off and regroup. If you show an attitude towards the mods for their decision that is abusive or angry, the temporary ban will become permanent. If you are willing to post within the rules, you will be allowed back. The Mods work very closely together to insure a good forum remains that way !
