Thanks, Enfields are not my main focus for collecting mainly cause ammo is so pricey, but I really really like them. Fun shooters and very accurate rifles.
Ive gotta figure a way to shim mine, its pretty loose so i dont shoot it. Cant hit anything and since i dont wanna pay 20 bucks a box on a rifle that cant shoot, im not shootin it untill i fix it.
I have too many Faz's in my collection, I need to sell one or two. The one's I never see are the MkI/2 or MkI/3. I have a example from each manufacturer but not all the possible mark #'s. I need a LB MkI-no star, a faz sniper and a LB sniper. If I could only have one LE it would be a Faz No4 MkII 55-UF or 55-PF series. These rifles are really the cream of the crop. Last year of production, they really had it together.

The owner of a very small Memphis (Phil's) gun shop has such a (near-mint) blond #4.
It has only one tiny cut in the wood, but his asking price is high, even if the scope is removed.
The cheek rest is screwed into the stock, but don't know whether this was the original factory design.

The cheek rest is original to the Mo4 (T), or sniper version. It's a common added part as it really improves the cheek weld to the rifle with a scope or irons. I added a screw-on to one of my No4's and I have a lace on for the others if I'm doing some serious shooting.

If $550-559 fell from the sky, I would buy that delicious local rifle, but don't know its value.
For Phil's asking price of $599 (I was there a few months ago), you could almost get a really good CMP Garand, from what I've read.
Have also read somewhere that not all "4T" Snipers are quite legitimate 4Ts.

The No4(T) is probably faked more than any other LE. If you do your research you can spot them pretty easy. The serial numbers are pretty well known as are all the small marks from manufacturing.
Some (T)'s didn't get all the normal marking and these can be more difficult to ID 100%
The blond you are looking at is it a 55 UF or PF series serial number? $500 for one in near new condition is about the going price. A cheek piece is an added $50. These LE's are not going to get cheaper.
