Savage 111 without accu triger $400 good deal?

Big 5 has them on sale in synthetic in 7mm Rem mag only. MSRP is $519 for a combo deal for the same rifle. Is that a good deal vs say a similar competitively priced rifle such has the Mossberg ATR although Big 5 seel that one for $500 which seems a little high.

Thanks;

I would spend the extra hundred bucks for the accu-trigger. In fact I did. I think that trigger makes a world of difference. If you don't really want the accu-trigger I say go ahead and buy it. You probably won't find it cheaper. Bud's has it for $391 but then you have to pay the transfer fee.

I just sold my savage 111 synthetic stock 30-06 for $275 at a gun show a week ago. Very accurate. I paid $ 350 for it new with a scope and case 3 years ago. Sold only the gun kept the scope and case. I would go with the 110 model - wood stock and accutrigger for around $600 if it was me and you have the extra $200. But I jsut like the wood better and heard very good things about the accutrigger.

Thanks guys ! I was kind of tempted to go with the Big 5 deal but I have heard a lot of good things on the forum about the Marlin XL 7 it seems to be the favorite for a hunting rifle in the under $500 MSRP class. I still have time before deer season or elk if I my sons gets really lucky and draws a tag.

Thanks agin;
