Email from my 73 year old mother

My Mother, who can barely turn a computer on, sent me this. She received it from a life long friend who's husband was The Chief of Staff at Massachusetts General Hospital for over 20 years. Supposidly it is a true story that was sent to the hospital.

For the triumph of evil is only necessarily that good men do not do
anything. Edmund Burke

Read this and weep folks.
This is what our elected officials have done for you and me.
A great thank you to us all.
From an ER doctor
I live and work in a border state overrun with illegals;
they make more money having kids than we earn working fulltime; today I
had a 25 year old with 8 kids that’s right 8; all illegal anchor babies
and she had the nicest nails;cell phone;hand bag; clothing etc; she
makes about 1500 monthly for each; do the math.
I used to say "we are the dumbest nation on earth" now I must say and
sadly admit: YOU are the dumbest people on earth (that includes me) for
we elected the idiot idealogues who have passed the bills that allow
this; sorry; we need a revolution; Vote em all out in 2010!!!!!!!!!!!
REMEMBER---IN NOVEMBER 2010 WE HAVE A GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY TO CLEAN OUT
THE ENTIRE HOUSE AND ONE-THIRD OF THE SENATE.
This is an insult and a kick in the butt to all of us...
Get mad and pass this on - I don't know how, but maybe some good will
come of this travesty.
If the immigrant is over 65, they can apply for SSI and Medicaid and
get more than a woman on Social Security, who worked from 1944 until
2004.
She is only getting $791 per month because she was born in 1924 and
there's a 'catch 22.'
It is interesting that the federal government provides a single refugee
with a monthly allowance of $1,890. Each can also obtain an additional
$580 in social assistance, for a total of $2,470 a month.
This compares to a single pensioner, who after
contributing to the growth and development of America for 40 to 50
years, can only receive a monthly maximum of $1,012 in old age pension
and Guaranteed Income Supplement.
Maybe our pensioners should apply as refugees!
Consider sending this to all your American friends, so we can
all be ticked off and maybe get the refugees cut back to $1,012 and the
pensioners up to $2,470. Then we can enjoy some of the money we were
forced to submit to the Government over the last 40 or 50 or 60 years.
And not to receive a increase for 2010 Vote them all out of office…….
Please forward to every American to expose what our elected politicians
have been doing the past 11 years to over-taxed Americans.
PLEASE ~ SEND THIS TO EVERY AMERICAN TAXPAYER YOU KNOW.~ PLEASE

A lot of our so called elected represenatives don't give a crap about this country and anything bad that might happen to it because of their greedy, misguided and hare-brained decisions. All they give a crap about is how many millions of dollars they're going to take with them when they retire to some third world country and live like a king, and sit on a beach drinking pina coladas under an umbrella while the rest of us suffer. Don't kid yourselves, It's all about greed and selfishness. Yes, kick them out of office, but don't throw out the baby with the bathwater, do your homework and find out which few of the current crop actually gives a crap about the U.S.A. and it's citizens. We need all the help we can get.

It is far past time we threw MOST of our professional politicians out of office, we need real americans like Phil the plumber, Eric the electrician, Tom the roofer, Sally the saleswoman, June the housewife. To put reality and integrity back into what was meant to be by the people and for the people. Too often as of late these worms have spent our money to save and or shore up folks that because of their own greed were about to fall..... Do you see anyone rushing out to help a Mom and Dad struggling to hang onto their home? While they work at any job they can find. Enough is enough.

snopes.com: Pensioners Should Apply as Refugees

If you give Snopes any credence, this is what they had to say. I'm not saying we don't spend money foolishly, just that this story seems exaggerated!

Unfortunately, I think too many people will figure their representative/senator is not too bad, at least they are a known quantity rather than someone new, and hence will vote for them as the lesser of two evils.

Granted, there are a lot of people who think government is out of control, but how many think their representative is part of the problem? It's kind of like the situation with schools. People think the schools in general are not doing a very good job, but most of them are happy with the school their kids attend.

Besides that, the incumbents have a distinct advantage when it comes to elections. They have the bully pulpit, so to speak. My representative is a prime example. He is constantly doing things to get coverage in the local paper that makes him look good. There has been a flap about a finance company that a lot of locals had money invested with. He showed up for a meeting of disgruntled investors. He showed up at a local elementary school to talk to the kids. He never has had anything like a town hall meeting, never gets anything in the paper about when he will be in the area, just after he's been and gone. He's afraid of an open meeting yet manages to get coverage for his PR visits. I think he will get re-elected despite being a liberal guy in a highly conservative area. He took the seat when the long time holder retired, and got a whole lot of help from the DNC in paying for his campaign.

I would be surprised of more than 5% of the incumbents are voted out.

Of course there is some exaggeration, but that doesn't mean this sort of thing happens. My friend in school has a father who works as a day laborer and his mom doesn't work at all. They have a 3000 sq/ft house in a nice neighborhood, he is always dressed in designer clothes and they have a 2010 Chevy 2500HD Texas edition, when totalled with it's modifications, probably add up to a 65k dollar truck, meanwhile my dad is working for ~80k a year and is driving a 98 Chevy Cheyene 1500 with ~205,000 miles on it...plus the guy gets free lunch thanks to the state.

All of that on a day laborer's pay? Something doesn't add up.

Got me there. Just a colony or colon, depending on your views of their gun laws and other puritanical beliefs.

Gary, could we get a clarification about the "border" state, since that seems to destroy the message.

I do have little doubts that benefits are being paid to illegals, however.

Caopai, I'm not sure when Troy 2000 left us or if you remember him but Troy was our resident armed liberal who taught me and maybe some others to not believe everything that's written. While he rubbed most of us the wrong way, let there be no mistake about it............ the man was good!! He would be debating you tooth and nail about this forward. I'm going to end saying again that my thought is it's an exaggerated story and only wish our dollars were used wisely because I know millions if not billions are not.
