As some of you are aware Chicagos handgun ban is being challenged in the SCOTUS in the case McDonald v. City of Chicago.The city argues in its brief to the court the ban should be allowed so as to maintain "a system of ordered liberty".I'm not sure exactly what "ordered liberty"is but I sure am glad I live in an area of "disordered liberty",the murder and robbery rate is a lot lower.
I think that in the eyes of the municipal government of Chicago, "ordered liberty" means something like, "the proles having the privileges the ruling elite choose to allow them." Remember, this is the city that gave us Al Capone, Frank Nitti, Richard Daley the Elder - and the Obamination. You'll pardon me if I say I hope the Supreme Court of the United States well and truly slaps Chicago down in crystal clear and certain terms.
If That is Ordered Liberty , I'll take My chances with Just Plain Old Liberty as the Founding Fathers set it up...
It seems to me that it means when a crook "Orders" you to give him your money , you dont have the "Liberty" to shoot him ! That's My definition of Ordered Liberty...

What makes it even more interesting here in the state is that in the last couple of years there have been local and county referendums on concealed carry.Illinois is one of only two states that has no concealed carry law of any sort.The groundswell of support for a carry law is ever growing,WE WILL NOT BE DENIED the ability to protect ourselves forever.
I have been to Chicago - courtesy the USN. It was a dirty, noisy and ugly city back in the early 80's - I suspect it has simply gotten worse with time...
As long as the bombastic and dynastic Daley Mob runs Chitown, NOTHING will change.

"Ordered liberty" sounds kinda like: WE, the rulers of this empire, will order YOU, the peasants, to enjoy your liberty in the manner that WE deem most appropriate for YOU.
they are dumb. the people who are going to rob places and murder people are going to ge tteh guns with or without that gun ban being in place. now them know that ll the good people are unarmed just makes it even worse cause now they know they can get away unharmed.
now if they know everyone can have a gun legally then they wouldnt be so quick to rob you would they?
Take away the security & Police, from the politicians.
And have them walk around "down town" every night.

LOL That's what keeps the scum in chitown and their politician friends where they are.They know they'll get their a** shot off down here in the sticks.Otherwise they would spread out over the state like a swarm of locusts.It has long been my opinion the reason all the gun control schemes introduced in the legislature by this scum has more to do with criminal revenue enhancement than anything else.Simply put,the criminals have stolen everything there is to steal in Cook county and need to widen there area of domination to keep their revenue stream going.
My daughter teaches in the junior high in Cicero, a northern suburb in Chicagoland, and Capone's hometown. Her 7/8 grade junior high has 3000 kids in it. They have weekly or bi weekly meetings with police to exchange gang related information. One of her kids found a couple of bullets in his desk one day, resulting in a partial lockdown of the building. Her student population is about 98% from homes where Spanish is spoken on a regular basis. The youth gangs have guns, despite the laws.
