Speaking of Rock Stars...

Two tickets will be in my name by the end of today to see Rob Zombie and Alice Cooper on May 4th. Takin my girl to see them. Should be a riot!!!

Let hope they don't cancel this one like they did the Anthrax/Slipknot/Black Dahlia Murder concert last year.

That's going to be a great concert. Tob Zombie really puts on a good show, and I imagine Alice Cooper will be pretty good too.

Alice Cooper has to be older than hell now. I saw him back in 78 here in Cincinnati. Wait a minute that makes me older than hell also.
Now I am depressed...

Dad saw Ozzie when he was about my age down in Texas. So it was kinda cool when I was livin down in Phoenix for that thank god short amount of time, that I got to see Ozzie too. I was in the 4th row and it cost me just shy of $250. There were people in the row behind me that paid upwards of $1000 for the same/similar tickets.

Not to age myself too much but I remember Cooper when he was only a local celebrity here in the Detriot area.Saw him quite a few times both before and after he was big.Great shows...hope age hasn't slowed him down too much.Enjoy the show and let us know how it was.

i'd have loved to see sabbath in the Ozzy days.
I was given tickets and backstage pass for alice cooper when I was in london, but gave it to a friend who was a real fan. she said it was the greatest show ever. Not sure how objective she was though.

I thought I was ripped off years ago, spending $40.00.
For two tickets to see Hank Jr. & Waylon Jennings, food, drinks included!

I went to Taste of MN about 3 years ago and saw Alice Cooper. It was a riot. This chick knocks him out and gets him into a guillotine and chops off his head and runs around the stage with it.
Taste of MN is free btw.

I hope you have a good time! I don't think I have ever been to a concert, just the little local garage band ones that we used to do in high school. Those were fun. Concerts are just to dang expensive for me to justify paying.

Dude! No one put on a show like Cooper. I saw him again 2 years ago in Denver. I could take or leave the Rob Zombie concert, but Cooper is a must see! You two will have a blast.

Hey Archytype,

Didn't realize, it was with your Dad.

Someday, when he is gone.
The memories, alone.
Will be worth 10 times, what you paid for the tickets!
Enjoy the times together, while you can.
As we all grow old, too fast!

I love concerts guys, and classic rockers like Alice are only going to get older and die off. I see Ted Nugent every time he comes out this way and will until he quits... I must have seen him a dozen times now and it never gets old.

I may sound old and dated, but seriously there just aren't people making classic music like before. Some of the these musicians are truly in their prime as far as skill goes, so see them while you can. I saw The Steve Miller Band, Alan Jackson, Brian Setzer, and The Ventures (a couple original members are still alive and kicking!) last year.

Yeah it's expensive, but memories are priceless.
