3/19/10 Wal-Mart is still out of .380 ammo,

On a side note I did purchase some more 9mm Luger ammo. Federal and RWS both 115gr FMJ.

3/19/10 the local DICK's had some in stock finally! Sadly they only allow a two box limit and I wasn't going to push it by buying two and coming back in to get two more boxes. Around here the workers at DICK's are well you guessed it DICK's. So I got my two boxes of Remington UMC .380 ammo! 100rd's now, LOL. $19 something a box too.

Then I went to DICKS Sporting Goods. Plenty of 9mm LUGER. No .380ACP in stock. The guy I talked to said he sold the last box two days ago. It was a 100 round box of HP's selling for about $50 he said.

About three weekends ago I did find some at Gander Mountain for $19 or so. I didn't pick any up.
I've been checking every Wal-Mart I see for almost one year trying to find .380.

For my efforts, I've been able to find 1 (ONE) fifty round box, in one years time.

Good luck.

I bought a 500 round box in Cabella's last week.

They had " cases " of the stuff available.

Multiple brands & styles.

Ive pretty much given up on Walmart for a reliable source of ammo, they occasionally have a 100 count WWB 9mm value pack for $22, but I dont count on it. They always seem to have .357 Sig though, probably because not many people shoot it.

The larger and smaller gun stores have ammo back in stock. My local gun store had 14 boxes of .380 on the shelves last week with more under the shelf.

It was running $14 a box for 50 rounds of ball. I rarely shoot .380 so I dont really keep track of prices on it.

Ive been splitting cases of ammo with a buddy of mine and buying from either reputable sellers on gun broker and a couple of other internet dealers who I have dealt with before.

So far its worked out pretty well in regards to product in stock as well as decent prices.

well, around me ammo is sticking on all the big box store shelves as well as the hardware stores, if you want to pay the price. now all the buttholes that buy all the ammo to resell at gunshows have to compete with that price. ammo at walmart is finally starting to come back in handgun caliburs. once its there all the time, the big box stores will have to drop there prices somewhat to compete. this should have the affect of makeing the gun shows what they should be, a place to find deals, as opposed to being a last ditch effort to find ammo for your guns, that was probobly bought at walmart for 2/3 the price they are charging you. i cant wait for the day i go to walmart and see those big yellow boxes of umc again.

Just picked up two boxes of Remington 380 automatic for $19 a box for 50rd boxes. DICK's strikes again with having it this time! Wal-Mart still two empty spaces for it.
