Question Is the Lakefield Mk II the same as a standard savage .22?

Hey guys / gals! Well, i am new to the forum, so i apologize if this question has already been asked / answered, but here it goes either way...

The first firearm I ever received was a Lakefield Mark IIY. SInce then i have shot the heck out of it and love it. Now I am a cop, and have a few other guns in my vault that are a little more... aggressive. I have not really done anything with my lakefield other than add a small little scope on it (cheap cheap cheap scope). I am getting to the point where I am thinking I would like to have some fun with it. Preferably, make it an absolute tac driver if possible.

My major question is, do the stocks that are made for the savages now-a-days "compatible" with the Lakefield models? Also, how difficult/ expensive is it to put on a better barrel?

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!!
