They did it again

we were at another cheer comp. yesterday in indianapolis, and our girls did great again.
our youngest daughters team took second place, they did have the first place pos. for awhile, until another team beat their score.
in this comp. the scoring is different, they do it like the olympics, where right after you perform you get your score and if you beat the high score then you takeover the "leader lounge", well our younger daughters team was in first place for awhile.
our oldest daughters team took first place in their division, there was 17 teams in their division and they were the 7th team to perform and took over the "leader lounge" and was there for the rest of the comp. in the division. it was really nerve wracking to wait for the scoring to see if another team beat us or not. Congrats to the kids! I know our competition cheerleading team works very hard and they do not get a whole lot of recognition from the other kids or the school as a whole. Just the polite type of commentary.

In our school, varsity football and varsity basketball are the big sports, wrestling being a distant third. Everything else sees mostly parents in the audience unless the team is doing really well. Those kids need and deserve as much as the glamor sports, but reality says it won't happen.

Tell your girls to keep the spirit up!

A big +1 for being so supportive of your children's activities. And congrats to the kids for the great jobs they did.

your right on that one, this has been a good season for them. they have not finished out of the top three all year long.
just goes to show how hard work and long hrs. of practice pay off.
