Two of the greatest countries set records

Well the Winter Olympics are done and both US and Canadian Athletes did their countries proud. The US set a new record for total medals won at the Winter Olympics and Canada set a new record for most gold medals won in a Winter Olympics. As I hockey fan I think the Canada/US Gold Medal game was one of the best I have ever seen. Although we won, it took overtime and could have went either way and I was biting my nails. Miller the US Goalie deserved the MVP in the tournament for his outstanding performance between the pipes. Anyway a good peformance by athletes from all countries.

That gold medal game was fantastic. As an American I was devastated that the US did not win gold, for this team was amazing. They played hard-nosed clean hockey with outstanding defensive play. Erik Johnson from my Blues was a defensive stud out there. He made amazing plays throughout the tournament. Miller, well, words cannot express how well he played.

Congrats to Canada. They were the best team in the Tournament. Their skill level was fantastic, probably the best skill team ever to be assembled. And the scary thing is they could be better in 2014 with Tavares, Stamkos, and others joining the line-up.

How do you think I would have felt if we lost. And don't forget you beat us earlier which is why it could have went either way. Wonder what a best of 7 would be like???

Snot nosed, lousy transplanted Frenchies....

Just picking at you! I didn't watch the whole game, but I did tune in for the overtime period. That was some insane skill on both teams! I hated to see Canada win, but I will admit that from what I saw, they did play better. Maybe in 2014....

That was one of two of the best games I've ever seen! The first was when USA beat USSR - every bit as exciting (except USA had pure amateurs and USSR had pure pros). Today's game could very well have gone the other way - excellent game!

Just think how spectacular a game it would have been if those two teams had had as much as a month to come together as teams! It was an epic of sport.

It was a great game. I generally don't watch hockey, but I watched several of the games during the Olympics. Very exciting!

I caught just a bit of the closing ceremonies last night. I was VERY happy to see Canada make a joke out of their Olympic flame malfunction. Imagine if that would have happened in China...people would have probably been executed or sent to work camps for disgracing the regime. I was glad to see Canada have a great sense of humor over it.

Anyway, congrats to you hosers for the gold record and hockey win.

P.S. I've been to Whistler before. If anyone is thinking of an awesome ski trip, make the journey up to Whistler. You won't be disappointed.

Watching the game with my wife, her cousin from Sudbury and his friend, I was outnumbered. When our team tied the score at 24 seconds all three of them got a little nervous. No one explained that the tie game would be settled by sudden death play and I thought there was going to be another full 20 minutes of play and a shootoff if still tied after that. The dog needed to go out so I walked her thinking well I've got plenty of time. I came back in and things were too quiet. When I entered the room they were all three standing there and in unison chanted: DA DA DA, HEY HEY HEY, Goodbye. I was a bit mifffed for a while. Great Game nonetheless!!!
