Some have complained about "False Tsunami Alerts", when the flooding was minimal on some Islands west of Chile. Chileans got the worst of it, partly because of inefficient communication and a sloppy warning system. This setting of where the Worlds Most Powerful Earthquakes, EVER RECORDED! (9.5+) occur every few decades, are really fairly frequent - on the Geologic scale..

They are saying that it tilted the axis of Earth 3" and slowed down time.
