Exclamation Hog Wild in Florida!

Doglips, is this anywhere near your stomping grounds? These folks are wondering whose gonna trap them - why not use a twelve-guage and call the local sausage maker? Lot's of pork, ham and bacon on the hoof.

Cool but where did they come from???

the article doesn't go into any detail about where they escaped from. since the area is controlled by a homeowners association, they hired a trapper to catch them, what a crock more PC stuff. if Pappa G was in charge, it would have been a giant pig roast party!!!

Thumbs up

Yep, the old boys up here in the northern reaches of the state would have themselves a luau - southern-style! Lot's of collard greens, black-eyed peas and cornbread to go with that smoked pork.

My brother-in-law had a loose porker get into his neighborhood a couple years back - panicing the horses and driving the dogs crazy. His shiny new Mossberg 12 gauge ended that problem real quick. To think he used to be an anti-gun Liberal!
He tries to be a vegetarian, too - but he never passes up a plate of pork chops at the parents house for Sunday dinner!

If my brain is working..Plam Beach area is the richy rich area of Florida....so makes it kinda funny....we have a big hog problem at the Cape (NASA to you alll) since the area is a wild life refuge..no hunting for last 40+ yrs.....it made the news a lot last year.....the everyone got a kick oout of them hireing a Jewish Ph.D. to solve the pig/hog problem....seems Bubba's BBQ would have been the people to call to solve that problem

Plam Beach is down near maimi.

If those are domestic hogs gone wild they could be pretty tough to kill, shooting them with a .22 or in the wrong place with a .30 cal will only make them mad. How do you "trap" one of these things, especially in an area with dogs and kids?
