Bad hunt!!!!!!!!!!!!

went coon hunting tonight with my two walkers coonhounds tonight worst night i have ever had for starters my male Rebel split treed on me and then thanks to the help of the garmin astro gps figured out he ran over 2 miles never treed my guess would be a deer so i had to put him through high school and college about that.
then my pup Jen who is not even a year old decided to run a skunk bad idea on her part i watched her take off through the field nose down ears closed right after this skunk. as soon as i realized what she was doing it was to late the skunk aimed and fired ha ha hopefully she will learn what is what

I dont get dogs the other night they both tree'ed great for me and then tonight was like it was their first time in the woods. but all part of the game i imagine

I really miss hunting with hounds. the first new reg. the Nat'l Park Dis-service forced on us when they took over the Big Cypress Swamp was to ban hunting dogs. (except bird dogs ) I had a red bone and a black & tan. my buddies ran blue ticks and black & tans. the sound of a pack of hounds is music to my ears!

Never had the chance to try it with dogs, my buddy said the last time he went he had 1 dog and one of his friends with him, and the dog treed a coon, when they got to it there was a pack of coyotes surrounding his dog. He's the only guy I know that has experience with dogs and he don't go anymore so I just haven't got a chance to try it.
