im 34 and have hunted with a 270 since i was 15. i use corelokt 130 gr and have shot whitetail from 45yds to 300yds and never had to track one more than 20 feet. i shoot them in the front shoulder and they fall down maybe walk a step or 2 then its over.

this year i hunted with a 308 and used 150gr corlokt and shot a doe at about 65 yds and she fell down dead with a good sized hole in her.

I'm sure most know, but I just thought I'd throw this out there for a visual comparison since AH suggested the 35 Remington and because it also has the 444 you're considering.
