Pretending to be some kinda Kowboy with Single Six.



Rad was not impressed.

Is that rifle a single shot break-over? I used to have an NEF like that in .45-70. It's one of about 50 guns that I wish I'd never sold or traded. It made me big fan of single shot rifles.

Yes, a single shot break open. Fun, but not the most accurate gun we own by any stretch. Had to have a gunsmith mess with the rear sight - it was way off . But it was so cheap I'm not sure I really regret getting it. Plus it has a .20 gauge shotgun barrel

That NEF I had taught me how to shoot a rifle all over again. My first rifle was a lever action that held a lot of rounds, and brother did I like to work that lever. Consequently I didn't develop some of the skills I needed and became a mediocre shooter instead of an exceptional one. But that .45-70 sharpened my skills somewhat and I'm a slightly better (and more careful) shooter for having owned it. Dadgummit! Now you've got me wanting another one! Why you gotta do me like that?
