CT Milsurp shops and other local oddities

In my experience good places to root around for some Milsurp rifles are:

Riverview Sales in Windsor, they occasionally get a few K31s and some other goodies in on the pre loved rack but i think cabelas has more milsurps right now.

BMG in Newington, they've got a wall of carbines Garands and MNs and are probably the best pick

Anthony's Collectibles in Windsor, they're a real small shop but they've got or had a few 03s, garands, and an eddystone enfield last time i was up there

Newington Gun Exchange usually has a good selection as well but it varies much like Center Sports in Columbia, it's a luck of the draw thing dependent on what people bring in

And I feel need to mention, if anyone is hunting for a Krag rifle with an unmolested stock, as of last month Steve at Steve's guns in Vernon happened to have one (he tends to have older turn of the century guns and anything civilian with some collectable value to it... savage 99s winchesters a couple custom muzzleloaders) and if one is after a Krag Carbine, center sports has one at the moment I believe.

Places to avoid should your GPS put you there, in Salem there is a shop that hopefully is finally closed, over three years of passing by and wandering in the owner repeatedly voiced his intentions of closing in the nearest future but remained open with very little stock of anything, no guns for sale as he no longer held a license but it should still e a deer check station if open anymore.

These are definitly all good places I bought my M44 from BMG in Newington, that area is amazing for gun owners. There's Newington Gun Exhange, BMG, and Hoffmans all within probably 5 miles of each other.

I like the guys at BMG and Newington Gun they will talk to you and answer any question you have...I'm not saying the guys at Hoffmans are jerks but they have to deal with a whole hell of a lot more people....and that shop in Salem lost its FFL for selling handgun ammuntion to people under 21 I live and work in the area and that was a big todo because they have a range there as well and last I heard the place was for sale still...its a shame it goes to waste

There's also Rons Guns in Flanders I think. I've bought ammuntion from them and targets and they seem ok...

We have some decent stores in CT to bad the laws are Ridiculus
