I don't blame anyone for trying to make a better life for themselves...but I *do* blame our government for not enforcing its own laws. My biggest problem is that illegal immigration has taken a huge toll on the rest of the taxpaying citizens, particularly here in Texas. This is especially true in the "public services" such as schools, hospitals, law enforcement, jails, courts, city & state parks, etc.

For instance, car insurance is pretty expensive in the area where I live, and a big reason for it is because so many people do not have insurance that the rest of us have to pick up the slack.

I'm sure other border states are in the same boat.

I see welfare recipients of all races abusing the system, I see it almost every time I go to the market and it makes me want to puke. I see the two piles neatly divided and then the trip to the new Tahoe or Benz to load the car up with food, booze, and cigs. I see them buy $100 birthday cakes with food stamps.

I'm all for giving a person a hand, for say two years... especially if a mother is left to fend for her kids. BUT here's my plan. 10% of all welfare cases should be made to work on a state run day care while the other 90% must report to work four days per week cleaning streets, maintaining county/state properties, removing graffiti etc etc... Then the fifth day they need to be in a class teaching them economics and life skills and filling out job applications.

Don't like it? No welfare.

Random drug testing for all recipients.

As far as illegals, don't even get me started. It is a FELONY to be here illegally.

Very well said and well written. The illegals are collecting welfare "Because They Can". If everyone would write their senator, congressman and King Barack The First and tell them we disapprove of illegals sucking up welfare and we vote maybe something will get done. Vote a few who support giving illegals benefits out of office and maybe the others will listen.

The best way we could provide Illegal's with welfare is to give them free transportation back to their own country. That would save billions of tax dollars providing them with food, homes, medical care, would lower the required prison budgets and would open up many jobs for legal Americans. Since there would be much fewer prison inmates that would make room in jail for anyone caught knowingly hiring illegal's too. The icing on the cake would be I might not have to press 1 for English next time I make a phone call.

What's Barack's cell number? I want to call and run this by him.
