I think if something was really in the works, it wouldn't be making headlines in a Scottish paper. It sounds more like they are trying to make us look like bad guys again. Apparently the papers over there are being run by liberals, too. And the natives were moved from the island in WW2, by the British, in case the island was invaded. I was there a few years after the agreement, putting in the foundations for the base. The village had been empty for many years, and was pretty weathered. Even the plantation had been evacuated, and was never reoccupied. That writer is just trying to give us another black eye, for being the USA. I thought they liked us a bit better than that!

Thanks for cleaning up the link, I'm afraid it's going pull the Soviets and Chinese into it much less contaminate the world with fallout.

Death is a terrible thing even tho it's as natural as nature itself. But when life means more than freedom, you have no real life.I have heard of all the disasters that would happen if we mess with Iran.My feelings are a worse disaster awaits us if we fail to stand up for freedom and our Amreican way of life."WE ARE NOT THE BAD GUYS". ,,,sam.

If the main purpose of that island is for re-arming and re-fueling, then maybe they are just low on supply of munitions for Afghanistan. They could have found a few new targets in the mountains where those bunker busters would be useful I assume. Either way, if Iran goes Nuclear, some of those weapons better be used to take out a few "power" plants.

Anyone who thinks Iran is not going to produce nuclear weapons is sadly mistaken. They have jibber- jabbered their way along with this while the UN has watched impotently. Sanctions are a joke, the mindset there is to buy time until they can say " guess what, we have nuclear weapons , and are ready to use them". Who will move first is the question. Unfortunately it will most likely be left for the US to be the boogey man again. Wonder if China , Russia, Iran, and god knows who else are waiting to see if we take the bait alone. We are in no shape to tackle this and its consequences by ourselves, and quite frankly, we shouldn't have to.

Yawn,

Iran has purchased over $1 billion in military upgrade items from Russia.

The Russian president has stated that although Russia does not have a treaty to defend Iran it would not be in Russia's interest for a foreign power to invade Iran.

Russia has enough American dollars in foreign reserves to flood the world's markets thus drastically reducing the value of the American dollar.

Iran is the target of endless yapping but the truth is our policy toward Iran is driven by our interaction with Russia.

Like it or not, we in actuality need Russia's permission to attack Iran.

While I can't vouch for the accuracy of the article, I will say that an armed conflict with Iran would be a VERY bad thing, and would likely be the beginning of a global war the likes of which we haven't seen since WWII.

From what i understand Diego Garcia is a huge ressuply point and contains a huge amount of equipment I would say that these bombs are just part of a standard shipment that this newspaper found and decided to Liberalize to make people in Europe hate us a little bit more.

Well, if you read and believe in the good book, and believe in God, you then must also know it's prophecy and has to and will be fulfilled. And it'll have to start with someone. One just has to give Revelations a read to see.
