110 7mm 23" Barrel

Anyone have experience with this length of barrel. I noticed that Savage does not manuf. the 23" anymore.
I found one used, and the price seems low...$265.00
Serial begins with F, so it must be a older model 110.
I want to make sure this is a shooter out too 300 yards.

Thanks in advance,

Jim

After hours of researching this 23" barrel I find it is the idiot at the gunshop that can't measure. It's a 24 inch!
If the previous owner didn't take a knife blade to the barrel to remove surface rust I would have bought the gun. I won't get into the water damage on the stock.
Keep looking...

It isn't that someone didn't or doesn't read and want to reply,it's the crazy mfg,ing today.Call it world trade or whatever. At one time I would have sworn they didn't mfg a barrel in 1/2",only ",s.Today they do.In this case I would have sworn that all magnums were at least 24" because the object of a large case magnum is use more of a slower burn rate powder so you have a longer burn that longer barrels can enhance and get more fps at similar or lower pressures. But,with all of this goofey "world market,I am not going to state that and find I am wrong as I was about the 1/2" ,,,sam.

When I saw the listing as 23 inches I certainly scratched my head and just like Sam said... I would have sworn that all magnums were at least 24" I had to post a thread about it and I was stunned when nobody replied.

The guy who measured that 110 came up with 24 1/2". I posted that it was 24" because I figured that guy was also wrong, then I read Sam's post...Soooo let's call it 24 1/2".
