Which style of weaver rail looks the best?

I was doing some experimenting on my milling machine the other day and milled a tactical type rail for my low-profile scope mount. I've had a couple of people ask me about making this style of rail. I actually prefer
my original rail with 2 scope ring slots, and it being a rail only 4 inches long
I'm not so sure its really necessary, but I thought I'd get some of your opinions.

Looks pretty sweet, you do some good work. But im not sure how much more useful this would be than your other one but it seems just as functional, heck why not just make both types..?

Your work looks great, but how will this function with a scope? It looks like the scope would end up kind of high, making it hard to get a consistent cheek weld.

i think you should make the multi-channel available as as option but i prefer the two channel rail, myself.

Bob, you're not gonna find a conventional scope mount lower than this without permanent modifications to the receiver and wood.

It looks like it would be about as low as an original style PU, if not a bit lower. Looks great. Gives people some options for placement.

I like options. So multicut if I were to buy one. Everyone mounts their scope just a little bit different and the same ring placement won't always work for the individual's needs.

I have jmeck's last low-pro mount with the original rail and am very satisfied.

Doesn't look half bad. Kinda neat with that graphite/carbon fiber color to it.

EDIT**

Also with the original 2 groove mount you have 2inches or so of play depending on your scope with the ring placement. So getting the perfect eye relief for you is pretty easy.

I think I made a similar suggestion to jmeck regarding this. It really expands the mount's capabilities, there are a lot of shortie scopes, red dots, and mounting options available with the added slots. Definitely upping your game there jmeck! Oh, will be doing a more comprehensive range report on the jmeck scope the weekend of the 28th so be sure to check out my youtube page late that day or early the next.

No Man, That is one sweet looking carbine! I gotta get me a 91/59!

Thanks for all the suggestions guys, I believe I may offer the tactical rail as an option in the future.

I can't wait to get the scope on my M38... I think I may try getting some 150gr SP or Ballistic Tip bulets in .311 and pulling the milsurp bullets and see how that goes. Anyone tried that yet?
