I'm not trying to be "political" and I'm not looking for a thread debate on the topic (one reason I'm not posting my personal feelings about it), but I was just wondering...
Does anyone want the phone numbers for the 22 people in our Nation's Congress who are still "undecided" on the Health Care issue (which they are scheduled to vote on this weekend)?
Well, I will get political and say that if passed it bankrupt the country and drive our healthcare system into the toilet. I think the country has sent a clear message to DC that it doesn't want this, but the Democratic Party is too arrogant and narcissistic to listen to the American Citizens that they want to subjugate!

I heard today on Fox the Democraps think a year after Health Care is past we'd have forgotton all about it and come election time we would'nt vote them out.

Well the thing is, that nobody tells us that 116 issues mandates this health bill and those equals more taxes. Personally i have never received a social security check even that i am retired and would like to get one after paying all that i have given in the past years.
53 billion to 56 billion as again no one knows how much they are going to borrow some where around the two figures out of the kitty from social security. Yeh know..... they are not going to be able to pay this back. And did i mention the government wants to control the student loans..This is only two mandates out of the 116 that i have mentioned i don't know if i want to even dig any further for the other 114....What a group of incompetents..last i heard 70 billion in fees over the next ten years....And we should agree to this....??????...

From what I understand they passed a vote on USING the Slaughter Rule. And the Slaughter Rule means they don't have to vote on it, it means it just goes to Obama to sign.
We'll be paying higher taxes, they're taking from Medicare, which I'd add is already going broke and full of loopholes allowing people to cheat it, but this will be done for 10 years at a ESTIMATED cost of $940 Billion for 10 years and it will only cover 6 years.
Yes, this will bankrupt our country because it's already unstable. Personally, I think that's the end goal. Why, because Obama has said he wants to FUNDAMENTALLY TRANSFORM the United States and not only will this so called healthcare do that, but so will bankrupting it...
You can call them if you want, but if the tea-parties that were held saying they don't want it, if the polls which say we don't want it, which you know they LOOK AT, WATCH AND KEEP TRACK OF, ISN'T AND WASN'T ENOUGH, then I don't believe calling is going to make them listen either.
I mean, come on. The bill the House is suppose to be voting on, on Sunday, Easter no less, isn't even the same one passed by the Senate.

Just heard that Harry Reid is proposing a public option to add to the legislation. This will probably come in the form of an amendment to the bill. I am not sure if that would have to be voted on by the entire Senate or not. Also if it is added to the current legislation and passed neither the House nor the Senate will have voted on the same piece of legislation. These people are urinating on our Constitution. (I think there was a king in England at one point that failed to represent the people he ruled and then there was an uprising by said people to throw off the bonds of said king. Or some such thing... hmm...)

In Washington DC folks are arriving as we speak, they are against the health care plan and will spend their whole weekend against this bill. Wish I could be there too! Im afraid I couldn't stay too peaceful at a peaceful gathering... It's ashamed our government has turned into a bunch of bullies that wants to force us to fight our way out rather than peacefully come to an intelligent agreement. Just a bunch of BAD EGGS making all the rest of us STINK!

I dont know what to think about this healthcare thing, dont know anything about it except what both sides say, the conservative say its a rip off in taxes and will double the price of private, you wont get to choose your doctor and it will be up to the government if you really need that heart transplant or whatever. Once you get on socialized medicine you can never get off if it sucks and it doesnt work in Canada. The liberals and a couple medical people I talked to say it wont cost more then private and everyone could have health care and Its the way to go. Having no health insurance because of the economy myself It looks good right now I have to say.

My view on what's happening is if I watch Fox News we are doomed and the U.S.is destroied.If I watch the other channels and this passes we are saved and everything will be great.What I see is noone knows what they are really voting for or what will really happen.After a year of BS from both sides I still don't know anything.Two things are true.If we want to defend this nation we must first get permission from Russia,China,and the U.N.because we owe so much to other countries they can inflate the dollar and cause finantial ruin for us,and the other is 68% of the people want to vote all encumbents out of office.We are a no-nothing nation with no truthful news and a gov that has no idea what is going on. ,,,sam.
On one side it would be nice not paying over one thousand dollars to get your arm wrapped in a cast and pumped full of pills but our governent simply cannot afford to treat all these illnesses. I disagree with the healthcare bill but I think the hostpitals put this on themselves by being so greedy over certain things.

The Truth About the Health Care Bills - Michael Connelly, Ret. Constitutional Attorney
Well, I have done it! I have read the entire text of proposed House Bill 3200: The Affordable Health Care Choices Act of 2009. I studied it with particular emphasis from my area of expertise, constitutional law. I was frankly concerned that parts of the proposed law that were being discussed might be unconstitutional. What I found was far worse than what I had heard or expected.
To begin with, much of what has been said about the law and its implications is in fact true, despite what the Democrats and the media are saying. The law does provide for rationing of health care, particularly where senior citizens and other classes of citizens are involved, free health care for illegal immigrants, free abortion services, and probably forced participation in abortions by members of the medical profession.
The Bill will also eventually force private insurance companies out of business, and put everyone into a government run system. All decisions about personal health care will ultimately be made by federal bureaucrats, and most of them will not be health care professionals. Hospital admissions, payments to physicians, and allocations of necessary medical devices will be strictly controlled by the government.
However, as scary as all of that is, it just scratches the surface. In fact, I have concluded that this legislation really has no intention of providing affordable health care choices. Instead it is a convenient cover for the most massive transfer of power to the Executive Branch of government that has ever occurred, or even been contemplated If this law or a similar one is adopted, major portions of the Constitution of the United States will effectively have been destroyed.
The first thing to go will be the masterfully crafted balance of power between the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches of the U.S. Government. The Congress will be transferring to the Obama Administration authority in a number of different areas over the lives of the American people, and the businesses they own.
The irony is that the Congress doesn't have any authority to legislate in most of those areas to begin with! I defy anyone to read the text of the U.S. Constitution and find any authority granted to the members of Congress to regulate health care.
This legislation also provides for access, by the appointees of the Obama administration, of all of your personal healthcare in direct violation of the specific provisions of the 4th Amendment to the Constitution information, your personal financial information, and the information of your employer, physician, and hospital. All of this is protecting against unreasonable searches and seizures. You can also forget about the right to privacy. That will have been legislated into oblivion regardless of what the 3rd and 4th Amendments may provide.
If you decide not to have healthcare insurance, or if you have private insurance that is not deemed acceptable to the Health Choices Administrator appointed by Obama, there will be a tax imposed on you. It is called a tax instead of a fine because of the intent to avoid application of the due process clause of the 5th Amendment. However, that doesn't work because since there is nothing in the law that allows you to contest or appeal the imposition of the tax, it is definitely depriving someone of property without the due process of law.
So, there are three of those pesky amendments that the far left hate so much, out the original ten in the Bill of Rights, that are effectively nullified by this law It doesn't stop there though.
The 9th Amendment that provides: The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people;
The 10th Amendment states: The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are preserved to the States respectively, or to the people. Under the provisions of this piece of Congressional handiwork neither the people nor the states are going to have any rights or powers at all in many areas that once were theirs to control.
I could write many more pages about this legislation, but I think you get the idea. This is not about health care; it is about seizing power and limiting rights. Article 6 of the Constitution requires the members of both houses of Congress to "be bound by oath or affirmation to support the Constitution." If I was a member of Congress, I would not be able to vote for this legislation or anything like it, without feeling I was violating that sacred oath or affirmation. If I voted for it anyway, I would hope the American people would hold me accountable.
For those who might doubt the nature of this threat, I suggest they consult the source, the US Constitution, and Bill of Rights. There you can see exactly what we are about to have taken from us.
