Primers prices at $38+ tax!?!

Most places I've been lately have raised their prices on primers to around $38+tax. Is this going to be the going rate from here on out? I still have 2 hole in the wall mom and pop shops that sell them for $29+tax and $33+tax. So what is the going rate for a box of 1000 primers in your area? (small pistol)

$3.99\100 but if you buy 9 boxes, you get the 10th box in the brick free at the shop across the street, I haven't checked our other local sources lately.

We are at $34 per brick, IF you can find them !! 10mm brass is flying off the shelf as is 44Mag and 45LC !! Powders are few and far between. NO 8lb's, and 1lb'rs of odd lots !!

That's a steal considering the only place I can get them around here without going online is at GM for $50/1000!

$39.95+tax here in Sunny Southern Arizona. They only had CCI LR Magnum primers in yesterday so I might have to work up a 22-250 load using them.
They did have small and large pistol primers for the same price.

I ordered 1000 primers from Cabela's about a year ago. They got backordered. Price was around 29 bucks a brick. I forgot about them. A couple weeks ago I got word that the primers shipped! I was furious to see that they had charged me almost TWICE what I ordered them for! That brick of winchester primers cost me with shipping and hazmat fees almost 100 bucks! I called to stop the order when I Found out and they had already shipped. So......never ordering from them again. end of story.

Can you challenge it with your bank or credit card company?
