Good Morning Iraq!!!!

Wanted to Say hello to all my friends here on Gun&Game. Things are going good over here in Iraq for me. The end is finally in sight, but I have really good vision...LOL. Going to be getting away from this dang mortar and rocket magnet that I am currently at so that is good. The weather is warming up but hey 100 here is a lot nicer than 80 back in KS. I have my fingers crossed that I get to go on RR and see my son who is due soon.

Hummm… On your way home give me a yell. Plenty of rain, the New River will have some good fishing this year.

Man, I got home for mid tour leave in time to see my boy and spend ten days with him afterward. Leaving again was awfully hard, but seeing that little sucker come into the world was THE best things ever to happen to me. Congratulations and stay behind the HESCOs as long as you can.

Thank you for your service. Both of my sons have served over there. My oldest is currently in Afghanistan (Navy Spec. Ops). My youngest will be going to the Sinai Peninsula in January (Maryland National Guard). I am a Viet Nam Era Veteran (US Navy).
There are many of us that understand and appreciate the sacrifices that you and your family are making in the defense of our country. Stay safe and enjoy your R&R with your family.

Sincerely, Alan

As for RR if I get it I will be going home to KS. Once this deployment is over though I will be going back to Drum. I have family stationed at lost in the woods, been there to visit that's it. I never never set foot in Texas in my life, sadly.
