Remington model 11-87

Hello,
I have a problem with the shells ejecting from the gun only when i use my Rem. fully rifled slug barrel. When i use my other barrel (smooth bore) that came with the gun originally, the shells eject just fine.

Just for fun i swapped out a friend of mines slug barrel, same model, length and had no problems with the shells ejecting from my gun.

One thing that i did notice was that this barrel of mine fits real tight into my gun vs. fitting my friends barrel into my gun.

When my barrel was in his gun the same problems occured, no shell ejection and tight fitting.

Could i have a bad barrel, or an out of tolerance problem or is something else wrong that i am not catching?

BTW both guns were cleaned prior to this test and o-rings were in good working order.

Any solutions would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance
phil
