update;
i was able to give that rifle back to my friend.
he got the charges reduced!
good for him and i hope he learned something.
i kinda doubt it because drunks arent known for learning lessons.

yes it was a VERY welcome addition to my humble pile o guns!
ah well easy come easy go

it's not something i would have bought for myself.
i dont need a hunting rifle.
i do however need a powerful super accurate heavy barrel benchgun.
but who doesnt?
